Since election into office for a second term, activities of the government in Ogun State had been in a slow pace. Appointments had been slow, as am talking; no Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Information, No general manager in Ogun State State Television, No Commissioners yet as their names is currently with the State Assembly for screening as well as other positions.
All constructions projects in Ogun State had come to an halt since election period and yet to continue. Residents of Ogun in Abeokuta, Ijebu, Sagamu are complaining bitterly particularly sections where bridges were constructed. Many bad portions had been left abandoned making it hard for long queues. I didn’t believe until I witnessed it myself and fortunately, the Governor himself passed the iyana mortuary portion through Abiola way on the 18th October, 2015 around 1:30pm while I was busy watching and taking note of the road.  I wondered what was delaying since the Governor is aware of the current state of the road but a friend who preferred anonymity in the service of the Government said the Government is broke.
Broke indeed?  But the Construction of a mighty gigantic structure which used to be the house of the Governor before election is currently receiving a facelift with addition of a nearby recently acquired house when completed will be the personal house of Governor Ibikunle Amosun which had been in progress before election is still on-going.  It is the 2nd term project of the Governor, very mighty. All machinery in Ogun State had been channelled to this work but other construction works in other part of the State stopped. Why?
All well and good, I’m not surprised but my passionate appeal to the Ogun State Governor is to fill relevant vacancies, this is not a new government just studying things but a continuum, things shouldn’t be done this way. All abandoned works should be continued for the people sake now that the tribunal has vindicated the election of our dear, “revered Governor”
