COURSE INTRODUCTION

 The course shall deal with examination of the techniques involved in Book production from editing of manuscript to layout pages, filming, plating, printing and binding. Emphasis will be laid on all the process to get the book published till it gets to the reader’s hand and the use of computer aid in this regard.

Students will be made to understand:

1)      Introduction to Book Practical Editing

2)      Types of Book

3)      Book Forms

4)      Readers

5)      Book Editing

-          Computer Editing

-          Manual Editing

6)      Process involved in Book Production

70% percent Attendance

Continuous assessment will be in two formats to form 40 marks-

20 marks for Assignment and Presentation

20 marks for Test

While exam will form the remaining 60 marks
