The Federal Government has approved the release of N413bn subsidy claims to oil marketers, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has said.
According to the NNPC, the approval would help address the fuel scarcity experienced in many states across the country like Ogun State,Part of Lagos as well as other states of federation.
The corporation noted that its initiative to ensure zero fuel queues had been  bolstered with the approval by the Federal Government for the immediate payment of N413bn to oil marketers as outstanding payment for subsidy claims.
Our correspondent who went round on Monday founds out most filling stations were locked while the few selling are besieged by long queues .
