The rate at which MTN is denying people access from making
or receiving call reveal a lot about their in-efficiency particularly in a country like Nigeria where
they were just operating, rolling out lines without following adequate
regulations until the NCC woke up from its slumber and slam them a huge fine.
This herald the beginning of their problem which also led to the resignation of
their Managing Director.
Confidently, I make
bold to say the organisation cannot boast of the database of people in whom it
has sold lines to which has made them to continue baring people despite
multiple registrations which is a cause for concern to many people.
With this act, they have shown high level of
irresponsibility by causing lot business men great regret for baring their
lines with excuse of updating database after they had done that repeatedly.
At some various Mtn offices visited in Lagos, people were
seen pushing each other even fighting in order to register Sims. All attempt to
speak with a staff provided abortive and the man that opened said they could
not attend to any discussing due to the large crowd visited at the Ikeja office
located in Shoprite.
Our correspondent who later visited one of the road side sim
seller who also registers sims for people at a cost of N300 naira or N200
depending on the status of the person.
This became a source of worry since when do sim registration
started attracting an amount of money with all the regulatory body in Nigeria.
Where is the place of Consumers right? Ns taking Don’t Nigerians deserves some
level of respect for action taken by all foreign companies exploiting
Nigerians.
I think most business owners who are seen fighting each
other or arriving mtn offices as early
as 5am to put their names down for sim registration should employ road side sim
seller and save them stress the insult or what do you think? Just saying?
