SIA IS UNPROFESSIONAL, RECENT GOVERNORS MEDIA CHAT SAYS IT ALL

My continuous watch on activities of Ogun State Governor and others is a step to make them better but further pointing out various heels. The media chat held on Sunday, 3^rd January,2016 is a disgrace to media profession because the Governor forcefully use Executive powers to jettison core media practice by declaring without consultation that the 2 hours Governors media chat will now end 3hours and not the 2 hours advertised. He said,”2 hours cannot be enough so I declare that it will now run for 3hours”. Bored! Where on earth a programme staged for 3 hours, even, Nigeria films is don’t run for that long.

Still on the media chat, it took serious war before the presenters drawn from Vanguard Newspaper , Ogun State Television,( OGTV),Ogun State Broadcasting Service,(OGBC) and Rockcity fm before they could go on a short break. The Governor argued why are they going on break, what for? But after their insistence that it is professional they go, before he succumb.

The most annoying and embarrassing thing here is that, all this argument was live and people were noticing the flaws. This actually had been the  unprofessional way he has been ruling Ogun State.

Little wonder he appointed a Television Presenter as Commissioner for Information after I guess this same coercive attitude has forcefully sent Alh. Ayinde Soaga, fmr. GM,OGTV and Mrs. Funmi Wakama former Senior special Assistant on media back to NTA where they left to come and serve Ogun State.   

I seriously advice the Governor to allow Professional ethics run some other times, official positions don’t last forever. How you handle it is what will linger in the hearts of the people you served.
